Post Event

You have conducted a successful accessible meeting or webinar! Very well done! Now it is time to consider actions that you can take following the event to ensure that all individuals can access the information if they do not attend the live event.

Closing Out Session

When the session is complete, do not end it abruptly because of the transmission delays that can occur with audio, interpreting, and captioning. After ending the session, wait about a minute and then confirm that the interpreting and captioning are complete. This will ensure a complete recording.

Session Follow-up

  • Post a recording of the event for attendees
    • Provide a copy of the event recording that includes a transcript or captions.
    • If the event recording needs captions for any reason (e.g., live captioning issues or realtime captioning unavailable/not provided), contact your accessibility services team for captioning service providers.
  • Share additional resources provided by presenters and/or participants during the meeting or webinar as appropriate (e.g., Things added to the Q&A, Chat, etc.).
  • In follow-up communications, provide the name for someone who can be contacted should an attendee have problems accessing post-meeting content (e.g., recordings, transcripts, materials, etc.).
